Run On star Im Siwan REVEALS he couldn’t have been happier about ZE:A member Park Hyung Sik’s return
Im Siwan expressed his thoughts on ZE:A bandmate Park Hyung Sik's return from the military and his chemistry with Shin Se Kyung in Run On.
Im Siwan is deservedly basking in the success of Run On, where he played Ki Seon Gyeom, a former track and field athlete who is working to become a sports agent and how a pleasant encounter with a film translator Oh Mi Joo (Shin Se Kyung) changes his life forever. Besides his acting career, Siwan is also known to be a member of ZE:A, which is currently on hiatus mode but the members continue to be extremely close friends.
According to reports carried out by Sports Chosun and News 1, via Soompi, Siwan spoke candidly about his happiness on Hyung-sik's return from his military service last month while also shedding light on Kim Dong-jun's soon military enlistment. "I’ve been anticipating Hyung Sik’s military discharge just as much as him. I couldn’t have been happier about Hyung Sik’s return," Siwan shared while adding, "I believe Dong Jun will do well (in the military) like his usual passionate self. I think I’ll feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest once Dong Jun is also discharged."
ZE:A, also known as Children of Empire, debuted on January 7, 2010, with their debut single album Nativity. The nine-member group consists of Kevin, Hwang Kwanghee, Im Si Wan, Lee Hoo, Kim Tae Heon, Jung Heechul, Ha Min Woo, Kim Dong Jun and Park Hyung-Sik. The group has been on a hiatus since 2017, with members concentrating on their solo careers. Park Hyung Sik, Im Siwan and Kim Dong Jun have veered towards an acting career, since the hiatus.
In the same interview, Siwan also spoke candidly about his easy-breezy chemistry with Se Kyung in Run On confessing how he made lots of new acting-related attempts through this drama which Se Kyung accepted. It was right from the beginning when Siwan gained trust that Se Kyung would react to his actions no matter how experimental he was. "I’m satisfied that our trust in each other showed in the drama," Siwan added.
