River Where The Moon Rises Poster: Ji Soo and Kim So Hyun depict a 'sad love story' with sorrowful expressions
KBS 2TV released the character poster for the upcoming historical drama River Where The Moon Rises which features Ji Soo, Kim So Hyun, Lee Ji Hoon and Choi Yoo Hwa.
This Valentines month, fans are relying on some of the highly-anticipated Korean drama releases to swoon their hearts. One expects the season of love to bring noteworthy content with promising storylines. KBS 2TV released the character poster for the forthcoming drama River Where The Moon Rises, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect. Fans took to social media discussing the much-awaited romantic drama and interpreting the connotative picture.
In the poster, Kim So Hyun, who plays the lead role of Princess Pyeonggang, can be seen with a grim expression. Ji Soo also shared a stern look embodied in his character as On Dal. The Hallyu star, who often had us suffer from the second-lead syndrome in his previous dramas is finally the main lead in this historical drama. Along with the two leads, the poster draws light on Lee Ji Hoon, who will play Go Geon, a top elite general of Goguryeo, and Choi Yoo Hwa, who will play the bewitching Hae Mo Yong.
Going by the show’s synopsis, Princess Pyeonggang marries On Dal, who becomes a general and fights for Goguryeo. To add drama to this otherwise light-hearted tale, the duo gets involved with Go Geon, who has feelings for Pyeonggang, and Hae Mo Yong, who completes the love rectangle with her affection for Go Geon.

Simply based on the characters’ tearful glances, one can tell this love story will not just be a hard one to watch, but an even harder one to resist. The story, which is a reinterpretation of a classic Goguryeo folk tale, will kick off on February 15 or “Singles Awareness Day”, which is bound to make us reach out for the box of tissues.
