Varun Dhawan film Judwaa 2 is released in theatres on Friday, September 29, 2017. Our critic is watching the special show of the movie in a theatre right now and has mixed feelings about Judwaa 2. While celebs in Bollywood have tweeted their positive reviews about the film, it remains to be seen whether fans like it the same. Judwaa 2 is a sequel to the Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha starrer Judwaa that released in 1997. Judwaa 2 is a new version of the story of twins Raja and Prem, played by Varun Dhawan in the sequel. The movie's leading ladies are Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu and the two were liked by fans in the trailer of Judwaa 2. But it seems they are reduced to a lesser role in the film, as compared to the hero Varun Dhawan. Considering the '90s inspiration of the film, it doesn't come as a surprise. Both Judwaa and Judwaa 2 are directed by David Dhawan.

Here is the quick movie review of Judwaa 2 by our film critic:

"There are two ways of looking at Judwaa 2, a laugh riot and horridly offensive at the same time. In the film’s first half it’s difficult to decide what do you make of it. The movie is fun, yes, entertaining, undoubtedly but how relevant is it to make something that we’ve left past in the '90s is a question to raise. Honestly, the '90s were the most mediocre years of movie viewing. While we love the pedigree we grew up on, we personally believe that it’s best left back in the day. In times of women empowerment, Taapsee Pannu made a fine point with Pink last year; she now settles for butt pinching, forced kisses and pretty degrading stuff. Varun Dhawan is a delight to watch, the guy has so much energy and vigour but is this a film to check out. I hope not."
