Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi Mid Movie Review: Confusion, chaos and dull screenplay is what comes to our mind
At the end of the first part, we have understood only one thing that there is more chaos to come our way in the second half. Read our mid-movie review.
Confusion, humour and a lot of one-liners - that’s what the film has to offer in the first half. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha as Happy and Diana Penty as Happy 2. Well, that’s where the whole confusion starts from. The first half of the movie introduces all the major characters in the movie - Sonakshi, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Ali Faizal, Jassie Gill, Denzil Smith, Aparshakti Khurrana, Piyush Mishra, Bijou Thaangjam and Jason Tham. The movie starts from the setting of China. The first part of the film does set the tone right but you will be left wondering about the actual screenplay. The movie has some typical Bollywood cheesy dialogues and Jimmy does a perfect job in putting up a quirky act. Jassie has got a launch-pad and he is making full use of it as Khushwant. In the first part, you will try to figure out what the real confusion is. Sonakshi is trying real hard to nail the comic timing. Well, there is no progress in story till the interval as the Chinese agents are making all efforts at finding the real Happy from the start and STILL are doing the same. In between this confusion and humour, director Mudassar Aziz has tried to infuse some emotional aspects. Sonakshi tells her back-story and reveals the real reason of her traveling to China. At the end of the first part, we have understood only one thing that there is more chaos to come our way in the second half.
We hope the screenplay does progress in the story post the interval or else the film would become a snooze-fest.
