Rain VS Lee Seung Gi in today’s Master In The House; Cha Eun Woo & cast assess Rain’s first boy group, Ciipher
The much-anticipated push-up competition leads to a surprise while the cast gets ready to evaluate Ciipher, a 7-member boy group under Rain Company.
SBS’ Master In The House is a fun variety show starring 5 fixed popular Korean celebrities who spend two nights and a day at other celebrities’ homes. SBS uploaded the sneak peek early in the morning today where we can see them visiting Rain’s house, his contemplating expression, and then a push-up competition between him and Lee Seung Gi - which ends on a cliffhanger!
But why do the cast of Master In The House go to his place in the first place? Well, it’s because they want Rain to feature in their new segment called Failure Festival - a festival that celebrates a celebrities’ failures, all in good faith. Rain doesn’t give in easily as it’s a variety show, there should be something to spice it up, right? He challenges member Lee Seung Gi for a 30-second push-up competition.
If Rain loses, he’ll join the Failure Festival, and if not, well, that’s what the surprise was - He will join the festival, but they’ll also have to evaluate the boy group Ciipher, which is debuting tomorrow under his company. Both Rain and Lee Seung Gi are known for their athletic skills and physical fitness. However, even ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo took part in the competition - in a bid to beat Rain, but couldn’t. They both recorded 56 pushups, whereas Rain recorded 66. They said it felt like going against Rain was like going against “a machine”. The cast then went ahead to evaluate the group - which did make a couple of mistakes, but earned applause for their skills and efforts!
The True Beauty star Cha Eun Woo even expressed that he can feel the tension in the air and almost dislikes Rain for how he’s become so serious with the to-be-debuted group member’s mistakes. He then even went ahead and comforted the members too!

The group, Ciipher, is going to debut tomorrow, on March 15 with their first mini-album I Like You.
