Yo Yo Honey Singh's wife Shalini Singh is his strength and biggest support; here's why

Yo Yo Honey Singh is one of the popular and coolest rappers in the industry. All the songs by him are quite a hit and popular, however, his personal life has always been a big secret.

However, a few years ago, on a singing reality show, he spoke openly about his marriage with Shalini Singh (earlier Shalini Talwar) and surprised everyone. 

Honey and Shalini's love story is quite cute and filmy. The duo, when appeared on the reality show looked stunning together.

The two are childhood lovers and got married in 2011. They met each other when Honey Singh's family moved to Delhi from Punjab. Their love story started during their school days as they both were in the same school. 

Even when Honey Singh moved out of India to pursue his musical career, the distance between them never affected their relationship. The duo decided to get married when he returned from London. They kept their wedding a secret to avoid pictures going out on the internet. 

Well, their love story is quite inspiring as they never gave up on each other.

When Honey got his wife on the musical reality show, they even danced together. Their crackling chemistry was visible on the stage.

Last year when Honey Singh and Shalini Singh completed 6 years of their marriage, he shared some beautiful pictures with his wife along with his wedding pictures.

Shalini is quite supportive towards her husband Honey Singh. His wife maintains a low profile and stays completely away from the limelight and social media. However, when there were rumours doing the rounds a few years ago that Shah Rukh Khan slapped Honey Singh during an international concert, Shalini came forward and put a full-stop to these rumours.

Honey Singh's wife said, "Why would he slap him? These are all imaginary stories. Yeh toh sabko pata hai that Honey really respects Shah Rukh bhai (everyone knows that Shah Honey respect Shah Rukh) and bhai also treats Honey like a younger brother. In fact, Shah Rukh bhai helped and supported us a lot. Doctors had advised Honey not to travel out of the country for the Slam tour but he had given his word to Shah Rukh Khan, so he went with him."

His wife further added, "On the tour, Honey was on heavy medication for his BP, and he slipped and fell during the rehearsals and injured his back and head. He was thus forced to come back home. So, Shah Rukh bhai hitting him is just a big rumour."

Not only this, when Honey Singh was quite stressed in 2014  about judging a reality show and was nervous about the same, he almost decided to cancel the shoot. However, the rapper revealed that his wife helped him to get over all the nervousness and calmed him down. 

Honey was not even ready to enter the sets, however, when his wife arrived there, she boosted up his confidence and took him back to the studio for shooting. 

Honey had said in an interview that his wife is very important to him and he will always listen to her. The Blue eyes song singer said, "She is my friend and I will always listen to her no matter what because today I have realised that she is very important and always right about everything."

Honey Singh had completely shunned himself for more than a year and at that time, there were reports that he got addicted to drugs. However, when he came back and interacted to the media, he revealed that he suffered from bipolar disorder and had no courage to step out for anything.

Honey Singh's wife again came forward and slammed the reports of Honey Singh's drug addiction. Honey Singh's wife had said in an interview, "These are baseless stories. Honey is genuinely not well and is in recovery mode. He has never been a drug addict. He is yet not fit enough to defend himself. This man who calls himself ‘Yo’, whose real name is Sachin Pathak, has worked with Honey for the Marathi lyrics for the song Aata Majhi Satakli and has met Honey for that once or twice. He has not met Honey after that. He neither knows Honey nor is a part of the group. Such baseless stories hurt him and us, as his family. Honey and I last went to Chandigarh in August for a religious visit. Post the Slam tour, he has all throughout been in Noida recovering. Why would he be in a rehab when he has never been a drug addict? His mother does a lot of charity and thus, we make him go out with her. I can only humbly request the media that till he does not fully recover and is in a position to defend himself, please do not publish such false stories. We are planning to go for a holiday but that can also only happen when he gets a clearance from his doctor."

Yo Yo Honey Singh and his wife have completed seven years of their marriage together this year. Even if they keep their relationship quite a low profile, his wife has stood strong by his side and came forward and showed her support towards Honey.
