Producer Vinta Nanda has accused Alok Nath of rape charges, which took place 19 years ago. Vinta held a press conference and made a strong statement saying that she feels fearless while Alok feels fear.
Vinta Nanda shocked many with her Facebook post when she revealed that she was allegedly raped by Bollywood's 'Sanskari' actor Alok Nath, not once but several times. The first time the incident took place was because Vinta, who 19 years ago was the producer of the popular show Tara, had Alok removed from the serial because he misbehaved with the lead actress. Years later, getting inspired by the Me Too movement, which is rampant in India currently, Vinta spoke about the harassment she faced and the emotional scars that were left behind.
Today, Vinta held a press conference in Mumbai and spoke more about the rape charges on Alok Nath. Vinta stated, "He did not deny it even in 2003, 04 and 05 when I had written about it. Now I am feeling fearless, he is feeling scared: Vinta Nanda, Writer and producer who leveled rape allegations against." Talking further with Times Now, Vinta further spoke about how she felt betrayed by the industry because everybody advised her to let it pass. She also said that she did not want to continue working where everyone knew the truth.

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Pinkvilla, Vinta was overwhelmed by the positive response and support that she was getting for her Facebook post. Vinta shared that she hopes more women get inspired by her story. "It's a good time for women and girls and I think we all should rally together to make sure that in future, nobody tries something that's not respectful for women," Vinta added.
When Alok was asked about the rape allegation put on him by Vinta, the actor told Zoom TV, "It's her perspective what you have gone through, and it's really horrific and something very terrible and that's her prerogative. It's her own personal perspective."
