Veeru Devgan Prayer Meet: Bollywood celebs extend their condolences to Ajay Devgn, Kajol & the grieving family
Over the past few days, celebs have been visiting Ajay Devgn’s house to extend their condolences on the demise of his father, Veeru Devgan. At the prayer meet for him, Bollywood celebs from Kunal Kemmu to Urmila Matondkar, all came to support the family. Take a look.
This week began on a sad note for the entire Bollywood as one of the well-known action directors and Ajay Devgn’s father, Veeru Devgan passed away. Veeru Devgan’s demise came as sad news for Ajay, Kajol, Nysa and Yug. The bereaved family held a prayer meeting today for Veeru Devgan. Since Veeri Devgan was a well-known name in the film industry and was a warm person, many of the Bollywood celebs came to attend the prayer meet and to extend their condolences to Ajay and Kajol.
Actors like Kunal Kemmu, Suniel Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, Suresh Oberoi, Prem Chopra and others were present at the prayer meet. While Ajay and Kajol were grief-struck, it was later Veeru Devgan’s granddaughter, Nysa who was inconsolable. It was her father Ajay who consoled Nysa and took her towards the the car. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Vipul Shah, Satish Kaushik, Chunky Panday, Bhavana Panday, Shefali Shah, Zayed Khan, Raveena Tandon were also present to extend their support to the family in this moment of grief.
Veeru Devgan complained of breathlessness on Monday morning and was admitted to the hospital for the same. Post that, he suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away. On the funeral, many Bollywood celebs came including Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan and others. Kajol broke down while the final rites were being done and Aishwarya consoled her. Veeru Devgan not only was known as an action director but also as a filmmaker. He directed a film Hindustan Ki Kasam with his son Ajay Devgn.
