Sources told Filmfare that Varun is sure about tying the knot this year. The couple will decide on a date this year after Varun wraps up the shoot of his films. About getting married in 2018, he had said in a recent interview to Bombay Times, “Honestly, I would love to do that, but I don't know how my parents would react to it. Being Punjabis, they would want to do it the traditional way. The next step is something every individual wants to take at some point, but right now, it's not on the agenda.”
In an interview to CNN News18, Varun had said about getting married, " I am not someone who just wants to be not married. I pretty much believe in the institution. I don't think there is a date or age to it, it is about feeling. When we feel it is the right time, we will do it. Right now, there are literally no dates to enjoy anything. It is just work at the moment."
