Union Minister Nitin Gadkari met veteran Bollywood script writer Salim Khan and his son, actor Salman Khan, at their residence in Mumbai. The meeting was done for the recently launched Sampark for Samarthan. The initiative was devised to generate awareness about the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government's achievements over the last four years.

On the work front, Salman will be seen in Race 3. During a media interaction, he was asked if as a producer and distributor of Race 3, he thinks China is a potential market. "China is a good market for our cinema. We have released Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We are releasing Sultan in China and we will release Race 3 also. I think we need to increase our number of theatres. Right now, we are still surviving on around 5,000 screens where China has extended to more than 40,000 screens.So, I think once our screen number increases, we will be able to have such business,"he said.
With just a week to go before the release of Race 3, rumours have been rife about the various endings that have been shot for the film. During a group interaction, Khan denied that multiple endings for the film had been shot. He said, It's a simple film. If the whole thing is a genre of twist and turn, it is screenplay of the film that keeps unfolding, unfolding, unfolding
He added "We have done our best, like in every film, everyone does their best. After that, Friday decides whether we have made it to the biggest hit or not. We don't design films usually that we want to make it the biggest disaster. We try and see to it that we give it our best from every angle; from the screenplay, script, dialogues. Even though we try our best, it's up to the audience they really like it or not
