Throwback Photo: When Sridevi showcased her undying LOVE for Boney Kapoor
We came across a photo from the event in which a beaming Sridevi showcased her love for husband Boney Kapoor. Husband Boney Kapoor’s name was written on her back by sindoor.
Friends of the couple have revealed that Sridevi and husband Boney Kapoor were madly in love. Sridevi’s sudden and untimely demise has jolted him. Their close friends mentioned in an interview that Boney Kapoor is shattered and has been inconsolable.
The couple was always by each other’s side- be it a family gathering or a Bollywood awards show. Today, Boney Kapoor penned an emotional tribute to his beloved wife Sridevi. He wrote, “Losing a friend, wife and mother of your two young daughters is a loss inexplicable in words. To the world she was their Chandni..the actor par excellence…their Sridevi..but to me she was my love, my friend, mother to our girls..my partner. She was our life, our strength and the reason we always smiled. We love her beyond measure.”
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor had attended a Durga Puja in Lucknow in 2013. We came across a photo from the event in which a beaming Sridevi showcased her love for husband Boney Kapoor. Husband Boney Kapoor’s name was written on her back by sindoor. She celebrated ‘Sindoor Khela’ at a pandal and was covered in Sindoor.
Sridevi had then said, “I've never attended Durga Puja anywhere but since I come from a family that follows traditions and cultures closely, I'm really enjoying this!"
Sridevi’s mortal remains were cremated today and she was given a fitting farewell by the Kapoor family. Fans and well-wishers were allowed to pay their last respects to an icon and India’s first female superstar.
