Suniel Shetty cooks at the Worli Festival
Mumbaikar’s soaked in the celebration mood as they enjoyed the Republic day with fervor today at the Worli Sea face & RWITC Turf Club. Milind Date weaved magic with his flute, while guitarist Silman Marak & V Ravi showcased their soulful renditions. Satyajit Padhye, Ventriloquist & Puppeteer had the audience in splits with his acts. Sandeep Batra also enthralled the audiences.
Police Commissioner Dr Satyapal Singh, Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte, Bollywood hunk Suniel Shetty, Cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar, eminent author Amish Tripathi celebrated Republic Day in a unique way, cooking culinary delicacies for their better half as a part of ‘Cook for Her’ Contest held at the Turf club. Seeing these alpha males wear a cook’s hat was a thrilling experience for many.
At the Turf Club, Mumbaikar’s witnessed and enjoyed the special acts presented to them by Sukanya Ghosh with Firoz Sheikh Dance Academy. The shadow act presented by them was magical and eye pleasing.
Amish Tripathi said, “I could cook a meal for myself but I have never been a great cook. This contest was exciting and enjoyable. I would love to cook for my wife more often. I am happy that Worli festival has motivated me to cook and I will try to keep it up more often.”
RWITC, Turf Club will have a sumptuous 25-30 food stalls from the most classy restaurants like Persian Darbar, Barbeque Nation , Punjab Grill , Zambar , Asia 7, Maharaja Bhog , Yoforia, C4chocolates, Silver Spoon, Mocha , Poco Loco, Swati snacks. Republic Day evening was never so thrilling for many who were awestruck with the number of diverse elements that they relished through the evening into the night.
