Sui Dhaaga – Made In India: Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma shoot for the film in Chanderi, see PICS
Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan have started shooting for the film and were recently spotted in Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh. Today, we came across a few videos and stills from the film’s shoot.
Varun Dhawan has been paired opposite Anushka Sharma for the first time in Sui Dhaaga - Made in India. Their pairing has already created a buzz and we just can’t wait to see the film.
For the first time, both Anushka and Varun will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar for the film. While Varun plays a tailor named Mauji, Anushka will be seen essaying an embroider Mamta.
Anushka and Varun have started shooting for the film and were recently spotted in Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh.
Today, we came across a few videos and stills from the film’s shoot. In one of the videos, Varun and Anushka are seen sitting with the team and getting ready for the next shot. Not just that, another picture has Varun riding the bicycle in his tailor avatar.

The movie is being helmed by Sharat Katariya and is a heart-warming story that is rooted in the Indian milieu and celebrates the spirit of self-reliance. It calls on the passion of shaping one’s own destiny through the beautifully touching love story between the two central characters played by Varun and Anushka.
Speaking about the film, Varun had earlier said, ‘’From Gandhiji to Modiji, our leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a way that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”
On the other hand, Anushka had said, “I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. SUI DHAAGA is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian. And I am really looking forward to working with Varun Dhawan and the team of Sharat Katariya and Maneesh Sharma.”
Talking about the film, producer Maneesh Sharma had earlier said, "Love often blossoms amidst shared hopes and common aspirations. In Sui Dhaaga, the lead characters empower themselves by fighting against all odds in unison and find incredible love and respect for each other while following a common vision of self-reliance. Like everything in the film, it’s a love story that is truly Made In India. It is only apt that the film is starting on a day that celebrates true love."
Sui Dhaaga - Made in India is slated to release on September 28, 2018.
