On Sridevi's birth anniversary today, daughter Janhvi Kapoor shared a childhood photo in which she looks adorable nestled in her mother's arms. Sridevi passed away in February this year.

Celebrated actor Sridevi passed away on Febraury 24, 2018 in Dubai after accidentally drowning in her hotel bathtub. Sridevi had gone to the UAE to attend the wedding of Mohit Marwah and Antra Motiwala. The actor had stayed back after the wedding to shop for daughter Janhvi, who had not accompanied the family for the wedding as she was shooting for her debut film, Dhadak. Sridevi’s passing away shocked and jolted not only her family members, but her fans across the globe.

Sridevi’s family is coming to terms with the monumental loss. Today marks her 55th birth anniversary. Daughter Janhvi Kapoor posted a childhood photo in which she looks adorable nestled in Sridevi’s arms. Janhvi had posted an emotional note after Sridevi’s demise. She had written, “The only thing I ask of all of you is that you love your parents. Cherish them and devote yourself to making them feel that love. They have made you. And I ask that you remember my mother fondly, pray for her soul to rest in peace.”



In her debut film Dhadak, Janhvi Kapoor wrote a special note for Sridevi which was attached at the beginning of the film. She wrote, “This was and will always be, for you”.

Last year, Sridevi had celebrated her birthday at close friend Manish Malhotra’s house. Rani Mukerji, Rekha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Karan Johar and Vidya Balan had attended it. On the eve of her birthday, Manish Malhotra also remembered Sridevi.
