Sridevi Funeral: Boney Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor take the veteran actor on her last journey
Sridevi's funeral is taking place right now and the veteran actor was adorned in her favourite red and golden kanjeevaram saree as she was wrapped in the tricolour. Boney Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor are on their way to the funeral with Sridevi's mortal remains.
We have finally come to the time where we bid adieu to one of the most celebrated female superstars in Bollywood. Sridevi breathed her last on February 24, 2018, at 11 pm in her hotel bathroom in Dubai. The cause of death was revealed to be accidental drowning.
A while back, the condolence meet was held and the Kapoor family was joined by many Bollywood celebrities who paid their last respect to the first lady superstar of Bollywood.
Now, the family is taking Sridevi on her last journey as they make their way to the funeral. The veteran actor was adorned in her favourite red and golden kanjeevaram saree as she was wrapped in the tricolour. She was accorded with States Honour.
Sridevi's mortal remains are being taken in an ornamented truck and a huge photo frame of the actor was also placed on the truck. Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Mohit Marwah stood beside her mortal remains as they bid the final farewell.
Earlier, a statement was shared by Sridevi's family which read as, "Khushi, Janhvi, Boney Kapoor and the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families are deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. Late Sridevi Kapoor passed away in Dubai, UAE, on Saturday, February 24th. We thank the film fraternity, media, fans of late Sridevi Kapoor and all the well-wishers for their prayers, support and sensitivity during our moment of immense grief. We request you to kindly join us in paying our last respect to a remarkable actor, beloved wife and loving mother."
