Sridevi Condolence Meeting: Soha Ali Khan, Malaika Arora, John Abraham and others at Celebration Sports Club
Sridevi died of accidental drowning in a bathtub at a Dubai Hotel on Saturday. However, her mortal remains were handed over to the Kapoor family yesterday. Today, Soha Ali Khan, Neha Dhupia, Malaika Arora, Javed Akhatar with wife Shabana Azmi, Vivek Oberoi and John Abraham were present to pay their last tributes.
Sridevi's untimely demise has left the entire nation in the state of shock. Devastated family members are still in disbelief about the news of her passing away. The Bollywood legend passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai in her hotel bathtub.
While the earlier reports suggested that she died after suffering a heart attack, forensic reports confirmed that it was a result of accidental drowning. The report suggested that the actor under the influence of alcohol lost her balance and drowned in her bathtub.
After a battle of more than 70 hours, Sridevi's mortal remains reached Mumbai yesterday. Today, Bollywood and TV celebrities are attending the condolence meeting at Celebration Sports Club, Lokhandwala where they are paying their last respects to the veteran actor.
Soha Ali Khan, Neha Dhupia, Malaika Arora, Javed Akhatar with wife Shabana Azmi, Vivek Oberoi and John Abraham were present to pay their last tributes.
The family released an official statement that reads as:
"Khushi, Janhvi, Boney Kapoor and the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families are deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. Late Sridevi Kapoor passed away in Dubai, UAE, on Saturday February 24th. We thank the film fraternity, media, fans of late Sridevi Kapoor and all the well-wishers for their prayers, support and sensitivity during our moment of immense grief. We request you to kindly join us in paying our last respect to a remarkable actor, beloved wife and loving mother."
