Sridevi Condolence Meet: Hema Malini-Sushmita Sen-Tabu pay their last respects at Celebration Sports Club
Veteran actor Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, and her mortal remains finally arrived from Dubai last night. Hema Malini with Esha Deol, Sushmita Sen and Tabu were snapped at Sridevi's Condolence Meet today.
Veteran actor Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai at 11 pm after she had a fainting spell in her hotel washroom. Her cause of death was revealed to be accidental drowning.
Sridevi was in Dubai for Mohit Marwah's wedding along with Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor. While Boney and Khushi left for Mumbai, Sridevi stayed back.
The actor's mortal remains arrived in Mumbai last night and the funeral will take place shortly. At the moment, Bollywood celebrities are attending the condolence meeting at Celebration Sports Club, Lokhandwala where they are paying their last respects to the first lady superstar of Bollywood.
Amongst those snapped at the condolence meeting were Hema Malini with daughter Esha Deol, Sushmita Sen and Tabu.

In an interview with a leading tabloid, when Hema Malini was asked about her last meeting with Sridevi, the actor revealed, "I had met her last at the Padmaavat screening, a few weeks back. She was as warm, beautiful and soft-spoken as always. And to suddenly hear that she's gone! Dharamji [Dharmendra] and I were shocked when we heard about it. It's so sudden and so unfortunate. Ab bas khubsoorat yaadein hai uski hamare paas! [All that's left are beautiful memories of her.]"
Meanwhile, Sridevi's family released a statement today that read, "Khushi, Janhvi, Boney Kapoor and the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families are deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. Late Sridevi Kapoor passed away in Dubai, UAE, on Saturday, February 24th. We thank the film fraternity, media, fans of late Sridevi Kapoor and all the well-wishers for their prayers, support and sensitivity during our moment of immense grief. We request you to kindly join us in paying our last respect to a remarkable actor, beloved wife and loving mother."
