Sridevi Condolence Meet: Arjun Kapoor snapped at Celebration Sports Club
Sridevi's condolence meeting took place today and the entire Kapoor family were present for the same. Arjun Kapoor, who had gone to Dubai to help dad Boney Kapoor was snapped at Celebration Sports Club.
Bollywood was stunned into silence when it was reported that veteran actor Sridevi was no more. She passed away on February 24, 2018, at 11 pm in Dubai. Her cause of death was said to be accidental drowning.
Sridevi's funeral will take place shortly but before that, a condolence meet was organised by her family which was attended by many Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Siddharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, amongst others.
Arjun Kapoor was snapped outside the venue as he said goodbye to a few guests who had come.
The actor had gone to Dubai to help dad Boney Kapoor in completing the formalities before they arrived in Mumbai last night with the mortal remains of Sridevi.
Earlier, in an interview on a chat show, Arjun spoke about his equation with Sridevi. The actor revealed, "I am sure I've had various degrees of emotions against her (Sridevi) and him (Boney Kapoor). I only look forward. I try to make it a point not to dwell on what could have, what should have."
"It's very cordial. I respect anybody in my father's life the same way because he would expect me to do that. So I respect her and don't wish ill towards anyone. That's how I follow," Arjun added.
Meanwhile, Sridevi's family released a statement today that read, "Khushi, Janhvi, Boney Kapoor and the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families are deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. Late Sridevi Kapoor passed away in Dubai, UAE, on Saturday, February 24th. We thank the film fraternity, media, fans of late Sridevi Kapoor and all the well-wishers for their prayers, support and sensitivity during our moment of immense grief. We request you to kindly join us in paying our last respect to a remarkable actor, beloved wife and loving mother."
