Lovebirds Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja make for one of the most adorable pairs on the block. While their relationship is an open book, the two have never really admitted to it in public.

A close testimony to it is their selfies which speak volume of their love. In an entertainment-based audio show, Sonam was asked why doesn't talk about her relation with Anand out in open but shares pictures on the social media.

To this, she said, "Because that’s in my control and I don’t feel that I can speak about myself but I don’t think it’s okay for me to speak about somebody else. Now everything that is put out there is with his permission or whatever he puts out there is with my permission. But if somebody is asking me a question publicly I don’t think it’s okay for me to speak about the person because that person has not signed up for it. This is just keeping it a little sacred. Just keeping it in my control, whatever is out there is in my control, it’s not something that is not. I just feel that it’s not okay to talk about it. I will share whatever I have to share and that is with my filter."

Recently, reports of her engagement started making the rounds. It was rumoured that Sonam and Anand will be getting engaged early next year. When a leading website questioned Sonam about the reports, she had rubbished it by stating, "Only work on the cards right now."

When Sonam was quizzed about her relationship status with Anand by a leading daily, the actress had said, "I don't want it to be written about. That has to be under my control. Everything else in my life is completely out of control. People are always saying things about me, on social media. They are always judging the way I look, the way I stand, the way I eat, the way I act, the way I speak. I need to protect others who come into my life because that person hasn't signed up for what I have. Why should he or she have to go through that? It's not fair. It's private and I don't believe in talking about it. I will not hide it but I will not talk about it either."

On the work front, she will be seen in Veere Di Wedding. The movie is being directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor and also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas. It is slated to release on May 18, 2018.
