Sonam Kapoor signs two new films; will shoot next year
Sonam Kapoor reveals that she has exciting projects in the pipeline.
Sonam Kapoor is on a roll; she has many interesting films in her kitty. Sonam received a special mention for her performance in Neerja at the National Film Awards.
Sonam is currently working on sister Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. Sonam has also finished filming for Twinkle Khanna’s debut production venture, PadMan. Sonam will also be seen in the Dutt biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
In PadMan, Sonam will be seen playing the role of a table player. Mukta Madan Raste has been training Sonam. She had told a leading daily, “Sonam has been learning how to play the tabla from me.” Sonam will reportedly be playing the role of the ‘other woman’ in the film that also stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte.
Sonam reportedly has a cameo in the Dutt biopic. She had shared here excitement about starring in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial by saying, “I just jumped at that chance. I was like 'I don't care, tell me what I have to do... If you want me to walk across the frame, I'll do that'. Unfortunately, I can't. But I am huge Raju Hirani fan. I have seen every film of his."
In a twitter conversation with her fans, Sonam revealed that she has signed two more films and will talk about them soon. Sonam also shared her favorite films and listed Khoobsurat and Neeraj among her all-time favorites.
Sonam will be teaming up with Khoobsurat director Shashanka Ghosh in Veere Di Wedding. The film is currently being shot in Delhi.
