Sonam Kapoor will tie the knot with Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. The celebrations began at the Kapoor household today with Sonam’s Mehendi and Haldi ceremony. The Mehendi function for the guests will be hosted tomorrow at the banquet hall of Sonam Kapoor’s apartment in the city.
Sonam looks radiant at the ceremony and donned a simple and elegant peach colored outfit. Nude make-up and bright smile accentuated her look. In a photo shared by Rhea Kapoor, Sonam is euphoric and can’t stop smiling as Mehendi is applied.
Sonam’s cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anshula and Arjun Kapoor were amongst the first to arrive at the venue. Karan Johar was also clicked arriving for Sonam’s Mehendi function.
Amidst a lot of speculation about Sonam’s marriage, the Kapoor and Ahuja families announced the wedding date on May 1, 2018.
The statement read, “The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives."
Sonam and Anand will tie the knot at Sonam’s aunt’s bungalow in the city. It will be a noon wedding for the couple and they will be hosting a reception party at a five star hotel later that evening.
Sonam’s friends and cousins will be performing at the party.
