Sonam Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor reach the airport; jet with Sridevi’s mortal remains lands in Mumbai
Anil Kapoor reached the Mumbai airport to receive brother Boney Kapoor. Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor have also reached the Mumbai airport.
Sridevi passed away after losing consciousness and slipping in the bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai. She was getting ready to go on a dinner date with husband Boney Kapoor. Her unfortunate and tragic demise has left the whole nation heart-broken; industry members are shocked at the untimely passing away of Sridevi. She has been an icon and an inspiration to many.
Dubai police officials had conducted an investigation and had transferred the case to the Public Prosecution. The case was closed today and the papers were handed over to the family to begin the repatriation process. After the embalming process was completed, the family left with Sridevi’s mortal remains from Dubai.
Arjun Kapoor had flown to Dubai earlier today to be with father Boney Kapoor. Boney Kapoor’s brother Sanjay Kapoor has been with him since the last three days.
Anil Ambani’s private jet was sent on Sunday to bring back Sridevi’s mortal remains, however, there was a delay in the release of the body due to the ongoing investigation.
The private jet has landed in Mumbai today. Anil Kapoor was the first one to reach the airport. Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor have also reached the Mumbai airport.
Fans will be able to pay tribute to their favorite actor tomorrow morning. The funeral and last rites will be held at Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery.
