Sonam and Anand are all set to tie the knot in Geneva in May this year. There has been speculation about their upcoming nuptials and there were reports that the couple will tie the knot at a luxurious hotel in Jodhpur. However, a source from the wedding planning team revealed to a daily that Sonam and Anand will get hitched in Geneva on May 11 and 12.
The source revealed, “The date and venue for the wedding have been locked and mass bookings for flights are presently underway. Her dad Anil Kapoor is personally making phone calls to invite guests. There will be sangeet and mehendi ceremonies, followed by a traditional Hindu wedding.”
“The nuptials will be preceded by an engagement ceremony attended by the family’s inner circle but the venue for that is presently not known,” the source added.
On the work front, Sonam is currently busy with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with dad Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and will soon begin shooting for The Zoya Factor.
