It's been two months since Sonali Bendre Behl announced that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer. The actor is currently in New York for her treatment and has been updating her fans about her health on her social media pages. Moreover, the actor even shared a photo of her clean-shaven look on the occasion of Friendship Day while posing with her friends Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Joshi Oberoi. Yesterday, Sonali thanked Priyanka Chopra for helping her out to get a perfect wig amidst her treatment.
Today, Sonali took to her Instagram page and shared a candid click of herself. In the photo, Sonali is seen flaunting her bald look like a boss while holding a book. She posted the photo stating, "Today is #ReadABookDay and what better way to celebrate it than by announcing the next book for #SBC! This one is a historical fiction set in Russia called "A Gentleman in Moscow" by @amortowles. The premise sounds pretty interesting, and I can't wait to start reading it! #SonalisBookClub."

On July 4, 2018, Sonali announced about having cancer by saying, "Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high-grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them."
