Simmba has already hit the floors today and fans are going crazy about the film. Ranveer Singh has been tagged as a mass entertainer and Sara Ali Khan has been equally appreciated. Twitter users have even said that Simmba is the best way to end 2018. Ranveer and Sara’s chemistry has been the talking point and fans were eager to see the two on the silver screen. Now, the film has released in the theatres, Ranveer and Rohit Shetty reached a Mumbai theatre to witness the fan frenzy.

Simmba has been directed by Rohit Shetty and is adapted from the 2015 Telugu film, Temper. Ranveer plays a corrupt cop who turns into a hero and fights for the justice, while Sonu Sood plays the main antagonist. Simmba took a good opening of around 35% in the morning shows. The film has also witnessed a good advance booking of around Rs 8 crore and is the sixth best advance of the year. The film also sees cameo appearances from Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and the Golmaal team.

Talking about the film, Rohit had earlier said, “We have bought the rights of Temper but our film is not exactly a remake. We wanted to take four-five scenes from Temper, but we thought it’s better to buy the rights. It’s what we did with Singham.”
