Shloka Mehta arrives with the Ambani family to offer prayers at Siddhivinayak temple

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s eldest son Akash Ambani formally proposed to Shloka Mehta in Goa on Saturday. The family hosted a pre-engagement bash for the couple who will reportedly tie the knot in December this year. The formal engagement will take place in June, as per reports.

The Ambani family returned to the city today and arrived at the Siddhivinayak temple to seek divine blessings. Ambani family including Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani and children Isha, Anant and Akash were clicked by the shutterbugs at the temple. Shloka Mehta also accompanied the family as they offered prayers.

About Shloka, Akash told a leading daily, “I am truly happy that our friendship has blossomed into love and Shloka and I are getting married, She is a truly special and extremely kind-hearted person."

Shloka is the daughter of Russell Mehta, who heads Rosy Blue Diamonds. The families have been friends for years since Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta studied together at Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
