Shamshera: Sanjay Dutt kickstarts the shoot of Ranbir Kapoor starrer today
Today, the paparazzi snapped Sanjay Dutt on the sets of Shamshera. The actor has kickstarted the shoot today and has joined Ranbir Kapoor, who started shooting for the film earlier this week.
Earlier this week, Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor kickstarted the shoot of their upcoming film Shamshera. The film is being helmed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame under Yash Raj Films banner. The makers have built a massive fort at the Film City, Goregaon in Mumbai. To built this massive fort, 200 to 300 people have lent their hand and the construction work was going for at least two months to get the perfect look.
Shamshera also stars Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist and today, finally, the actor has joined the team for the shoot. The paparazzi managed to click photos of Sanjay in Film City while he was stepping out of vanity van. In the photos, Sanjay is seen wearing a grey T-Shirt and a pair of cargo pants with aviator sunglasses. The actor is currently sporting a bald and salt-and-pepper beard look.

In Samshera, Sanjay is playing the role of a merciless and ruthless villain and it's the first time we will see him alongside Ranbir. Interesting, Ranbir played Sanjay's role in his biopic Sanju, which hit the screens earlier this year. Shamshera is likely to get wrapped by mid-2019 and will hit the screens in the year 2020.
Earlier, in an interview with PTI, Ranbir spoke about the film stating, "Shamshera is not a story of a ‘daaku’, but a film based in the 1800s, it is about a dacoit tribe who are fighting for their right and independence from the British. There was a great story of heroism, a story rooted in our country which actually happened back then."
