Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor walked the ramp for designer Anita Dongre at Lakme Fashion Week yesterday. Shahid kept it simple as he donned a white sherwani whereas Mira looked breathtakingly beautiful in a printed white lehenga.

During a media interaction, Mira shared her experience of walking the ramp, “I have to be honest, I was hoping to not fall on the ramp. I even told Shahid about my fears. I was nervous because I have seen models and professionals own the ramp with their attitude and poise. But me? I wasn’t sure.''

“Although jittery, I knew I was in safe hands with Anita and her collection. I was extremely excited and nervous. Before we stepped on the ramp, I wished Shahid the best, but it was really me who needed all the luck!”, she added.

When asked what is his favourite choice of clothes — traditional or Western — for Mira, Shahid replied, “I prefer to see Mira the way she likes to dress, whatever that may be! But I must say, she looks wonderful in the attire she is wearing today.”

“We got married two-and-a-half years ago, but she is looking as beautiful today as she did on that day. Maybe we could have gotten married again today. She looks beautiful!” he further said.

On the work front, Shahid’s latest release Padmaavat has been receiving a lot of appreciation from critics as well as the audience. Mira expressed her thoughts about the film and had said, "I think the film is an homage to the Rajput culture and tradition. I am extremely proud to see Shahid essay that role and do so much justice and more to it. Watching Shahid on-screen has been a visual treat. I really feel, without any biases, that he is the best thing in the film."
