Shah Rukh and Anushka enthrall Kolkata audience during Jab Harry Met Sejal promotions

Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal has already hit the theatres across the nation but that did not stop the star cast to promote the film in Kolkata.

The actors enthralled the audience with their crazy dance moves and made sure the city had an amazing time. Shah Rukh Khan looked handsome in his smart casuals while Anushka opted for a pretty Purple dress. Imtiaz was also spotted at the event.

Imtiaz Ali's Jab Harry Met Sejal hit the screens yesterday and received mixed response from both the critics and the audience. The movie fared decently at the box office on its first day as it grossed INR 15.50 crore.

According to a trade site, the movie has managed to collect only in the metros and has scored poor collections in the other areas. JHMS' major chunk of collection has come from Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Pune. Shah Rukh Khan starrer has performed on the lines of Salman Khan's last release Tubelight. However, the latter earned more at the ticket window on Day 1 as compared to JHMS.

Interestingly, the Imtiaz Ali movie is the lowest Shah Rukh Khan opener of recent times. JHMS also failed to beat the day one collections of Shah Rukh's last release Raees that crossed INR 20 crore. Given that the movie's content is suitable for the limited audience, it is expected to grow only in Metro cities and may experience a drop in the other theatres.

The Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer has fared well in Overseas. While Gulf has crossed $1.50 million, in the other circuits, going by the trend, it is expected to emerge as the biggest Hindi grosser in Overseas of the year till date.
