Sridevi's good friend Manish Malhotra threw her a lavish birthday bash today. It was attended by many bigwigs of Bollywood including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tina Ambani, Rekha, and Vidya Balan among many others. 

The birthday girl looked gorgeous in her printed black dress and came with husband Boney kapoor in tow. The good looking couple looked very much in love as they posed for the shutterbugs and the clickety clicks. Sridevi, who is usually shy and reserved surprised the photogs when she planted some kisses on hubby Boney's cheek. It was a special moment and had Mr Kapoor blushing away.

Sridevi had spoken about Boney saying, "After my parents passed away, Boneyji has been my father, mother and husband. We've been married for 22 years but even today, people tell me his eyes light up when he talks about me. I take credit for that, I've worked really hard.  I bully him and so does he, but all in jest. Jhanvi says she doesn't find such happiness in her friends' homes and wants a man just like her dad."

While she was shooting for MOM, Sridevi apparently did not talk to Boney for 3 months. The diva had said, "For three months, I did not speak to Boney Ji as a husband. I used to greet him good morning and after pack up, I used to wish him goodnight- that’s all we spoke. That was the only conversation I had with him. I am totally a director’s actor. I surrender totally to him (director Ravi Udyawar). I followed his vision and he did a wonderful job."
