Sanju poster: Check out Dia Mirza's look as Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanayata

Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju is one of the most awaited films of 2018. Based on Sanjay Dutt's life, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Sanjay Dutt on the screen.

The trailer was released last month and fans can't keep calm to know about Sanjay Dutt's controversial life, personal life and stardom. Ranbir Kapoor playing Sanjay has also got the audience excited for the film.

In Sanju, Dia Mirza will play Sanjay's second wife Maanayata Dutt's role. In the trailer, we were shown a small glimpse of her character. Today, Raju Hirani shared a poster of Dia as Maanayata Dutt. He captioned it, "And here comes Dia Mirza as Maanayata, someone who stood by #Sanju through thick and thin. #RanbirKapoor @deespeak #RajkumarHiraniFilms @foxstarhindi @VVCFilms"

Maanayata has been a strong and supportive force in Sanjay Dutt's life. In an interview last year she had said that when the actor was in the jail, she couldn't fill the void of his absence in their kids' life. She said that they are too young to understand what happened with their father and how he has paid a heavy price for the same.

In Sanju, Paresh Rawal will play Sunil Dutt's role and Manisha Koirala will essay Nargis' character. Sonam Kapoor plays one of Sanjay Dutt's girlfriend and Anushka will be seen as a reporter. Vicky Kaushal will be seen as one of the close friends of Sanjay Dutt.

Sanju is slated to release on June 29, 2018.
