Sanju: Here's what Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have to say about son Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt
The teaser of Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt came out today and parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor took to social media to talk about their son's movie.
Today has been all about the much-awaited teaser of Sanju, a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Ranbir Kapoor as the macho actor.
Along with Ranbir, Sanju also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Karishma Tanna.
While everyone is raving about Ranbir's impressive transformation into Dutt, parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor had some things to say about the teaser of Sanju as well.
Rishi took to Twitter to share the poster and teaser of Sanju and simply tweeted, "Interesting."
On the other hand, Neetu shared the poster on Instagram and her caption reads as, "Can't wait to see."
Sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni too shared the poster on Instagram and her caption reads as, "#sanju #slayingthelook #cantwaittoseethismovie."

Meanwhile, in an interview with DNA, Rajkumar spoke candidly about Ranbir and when asked if there were any similarities between Sanjay and Ranbir, the filmmaker revealed, "Both come from film families, and have that X-factor, the charm. They have lived the life of actors all through. Ranbir is not someone from outside the industry who came here to be a hero. In a sense, it was easier for me to see him as Sanju. Physically, they’re not similar. Sanju is bigger, but Ranbir is slightly taller than him. He doesn’t seem so, but it is true. Ranbir worked very hard to get the physicality right. He spent days watching tons of videos to strike the right balance and when you observe him in the film, you will notice that there is a resemblance of Sanjay Dutt, yet you know it is Ranbir Kapoor. If he did anything slightly more, it would look caricaturish and if he did a little less, it wouldn’t work. I didn’t think about anyone else. I first thought of Ranbir and went straight to him and I can tell you, we were right."
Sanju is slated to release on June 29, 2018.
