Sanjay Dutt turns producer; announces his 1st Marathi venture featuring Deepak Dobriyal
Sanjay Dutt is now following the footsteps of Priyanka Chopra and has announced his first Marathi production venture featuring Deepak Dobriyal in the lead role.
Sanjay Dutt, just like other popular stars, has decided to try his hands at regional cinema. Dutt is now following the footsteps of Priyanka Chopra and has announced his first Marathi film featuring Deepak Dobriyal in the lead role. He wrote on Instagram, “Ecstatic to announce @SanjayDuttsProductions' 1st venture into Marathi films alongside @bluemustangcreations, yet untitled. Directed by @picturewalaraj, starring the talented #DeepakDobriyal #NanditaDhuri @abhijeetkhandkekar @spruhavarad #ChittaranjanGiri & #AryanMenghji. @maanayata @sandy_bhargava @aby_sss @nutcase19 @tejasdeoskar @ashok.subhedar @bhaarti_subhedar.”
The movie is untitled and considering the success of regional movies, we can say that this move by Sanjay Dutt is a step ahead in terms of improving the condition of regional cinema. The film also stars Nandita Dhuri. Away from the glare of big budgets and glamour, regional films are turning out to be big in the market. Marathi cinema is going through a revolution of sorts in these recent years. For example, Sairat did immensely well at the box office because of the content it had. It’ll be interesting to see how this Sanjay Dutt untitled film turns out to be.

Talking of Sanjay Dutt, he will be seen in Sadak 2 and Kalank. In Sadak, he will be seen with Alia Bhatt. Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Bhatt share a great professional and personal rapport, and while signing the film, Sanjay Dutt shared that money was never his concern when he signed the film.
Sanjay Dutt who is super excited to work with Mahesh Bhatt said, “When Bhatt saab is directing, I don’t want a make-up guy or a hair artiste. I don’t even need to look into a mirror or need a van to sit in.” Sadak 2 will hit the theatres on March 25, 2020.
