Sanjay Dutt biopic: Manisha Koirala nails the Nargis Dutt look, View photo

Manisha Koirala was the reigning queen of the box office in the 90s, recognised for her acting prowess and spectacular performances in films like, 1942 - A Love Story, Bombay, Khamoshi, Dil Se, Akele Hum Akele Tum among many others. Her comeback film, Dear Maya, didn't do wonders at the box-office, but her acting was appreciated by the audience as well as the critics.

Manisha has been roped in to play Sanjay Dutt's mother, Nargis, in the latter's biopic being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor will play the character of Dutt in the film. 

Today, we got our hands on a picture from the sets of Dutt biopic. In the picture, Manisha is looking so strikingly similar to Nargis. Going by the picture, Manisha resembles Nargis’ young look.

Talking about working with Ranbir, she had earlier said, "I find these young actors hard working and focused. Ranbir is one of the finest talents we have in our [film] industry. And I believe it’s not about senior or younger co-stars; for me, it’s always great to share screen space with good actors."
 
Manisha had added that she doesn't really about who her co-actors are. She said, "I don’t really care much about the celebrity status (of her co-actors) because honestly, it’s the by-product of the original thing, which is talent and the capacity of the actor."

Talking about Rajkumar Hirani, Manisha had said, “Of course, I love Hirani’s cinema. He is the most envied director. I did express my concern to him but he told me not to worry about it. Mine is a special appearance as the film is not about Nargis ji, it is about Sanjay Dutt. I can’t talk much about the project. I have watched Nargis Dutt ji's films and we have done the look test. We have done the clothes, the hair, the make-up and just about everything."

The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
