Sajid Khan spotted for the FIRST TIME at Amit Thackeray's wedding reception post charges of sexual misconduct

Filmmaker and director Sajid Khan was spotted at Amit Thackeray's wedding reception today. The Houseful 2 director made his first appearance in front of the media after he was being accused of sexual misconduct by several of his female colleagues in the Bollywood film industry last year. Sajid wore a black coloured sherwani teamed up with a blue half jacket to the reception party. Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment in October 2018 by Mandana Karimi, Rachel White, Simran Suri, Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay through the medium of the #MeToo movement. Due to such allegations, the filmmaker was suspended by the Indian Film & Television Directors' Association for a period of one year. He was also issued a notice along with a letter by the association demanding explanation for his offensive behavior. As a result of such allegations, Sajid Khan stepped down as the director of the film Housefull 4 in October 2018.

Most of the cast and crew of Houseful 4 including Akshay Kumar were upset with Sajid's decision of quitting the film halfway. The director however denied such charges which were made against too. But he accepted that his behaviour towards both men and women were impolite. He also admitted to having sexual relations with many women but with their consent. The #MeToo movement has taken a rise in recent times in India and many women have raised their voices and concerns over the issue. The Bollywood film industry has been hit the most by the #MeToo campaign. Many prominent filmmakers, directors, producers and actors have been accused of sexual miscoduct and molestation by their female colleagues and partners. Sajid Khan also had to face the consequences of this movement as a result of which he got banned for a period of one year by the IFTDA.

Other than Sajid Khan , many famous personalities like Rajat Kapoor and Alok Nath have also been accused by many women of sexual misconduct under the #MeToo movement.
