Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor attend the screening of Kaalakaandi

Saif Ali Khan’s next film Kaalakaandi is slated to release on 12^th Jan, 2018. The makers organized a screening of the film in the city today. Saif Ali Khan’s family attended the film’s preview- Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu were clicked.

Saif will be seen on-screen after Chef. Chef and Rangoon did not set the cash registers ringing, but Saif’s role in the film was much appreciated. Saif has been busy shooting for the television series Sacred Games and has also wrapped up Bazaar in which he stars with Radhika Apte and Chitrangada Singh.

At the film’s screening, Saif Ali Khan looked in an upbeat mood and sported casuals, whereas Kareena Kapoor Khan looked glamorous in a grey tshirt and denims. Kareena sported minimal make-up and bright shade lipstick completed her look.

Saif will be playing the role of a man who discovers that he is suffering from stomach cancer. About the film, Saif had said, “When I was shooting for Rangoon, its director-writer Vishal Bhardwaj suggested that I read the script of Kaalakaandi. I liked the script which takes a very entertaining look at Mumbai. It offers an exciting story with a good arch for the lead actor. I play this man, who after finding out that he has stomach cancer, takes some ‘acid’ (a drug called lysergic acid diethylamide) and has the time of his life. By the end, his character undergoes a change.”

The trailer of the film has created an excitement about the film amongst the audience.
