Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor attend an event organised to honor the legendary Raj Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor along with brothers Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor was clicked at a special event organised to honor their father and legendary actor Raj Kapoor. 

A producer, director, megastar, editor, musician and what not, Raj Kapoor aced it all. From Awara to Mera Naam Joker, the only all-rounder of the industry will forever remain etched in our memory.

At the event, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor looked handsome as ever in a black suit, whereas Rajiv Kapoor looked dapper in a blue suit. It was definitely a proud moment for the Kapoor family.

Rishi Kapoor had opened up about the colourful life of his father, filmmaker Raj Kapoor in his autobiography titled Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored. He wrote, ‘’My father, Raj Kapoor, was 28 years old and had already been hailed as the ‘showman of Hindi cinema’ four years before. He was also a man in love – at the time, unfortunately, with someone other than my mother. His girlfriend was the leading lady of some of his biggest hits of the time, including Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949) and Awara (1951).”

‘’My father loved his cinema, his booze, his leading ladies and his work. But for a man legendary for his hospitality, he was very possessive of his whisky. When we started drinking together, for him it was always Johnny Walker Black Label bought in London, while we were served locally procured whisky,” he had added. 

Recently, the Kapoor family also launched a book on Raj Kapoor titled Rajkapoor: The One and Only Showman. Raj Kapoor: The book is a tribute to Raj Kapoor by his five children - Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Nanda, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Jain and Rajiv Kapoor - produced by RK Films and Studio and edited and presented by Ritu Nanda.
