Meanwhile, confirming his injury, Ranveer’s official spokesperson had said, "After multiple medical checkups, the doctors have strongly advised Ranveer Singh not to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he was doing the grand finale act. They feel his high-energy performance would only overstrain his shoulder and aggravate the injury."
Ranveer on Tuesday visited the doctors for a regular checkup and was snapped outside a clinic in the city.
Ever since the news broke, Ranveer is flooded with wishes from fans wishing him a speedy recovery. Ranveer took to Twitter to thank the fans and wrote, "Thank you for the good wishes everyone. I’m good. Its just a labral tear in my left shoulder. I intend to come back stronger. Love you all"
He will be next seen in Kabir Khan's directorial 83, which is based on India’s first Cricket World Cup win in 1983. The film will feature him in the shoes of none other than the cricket legend and former captain of the Indian cricket team, Kapil Dev. In a previous interview, Ranveer had said that the film is "more than a great cricket story, it is a great human story."
Ranveer is also busy shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, which is based on the lives of street rappers. The film is slated to release in February 2019 and also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
