Ranveer Singh is ecstatic after he receives 'his first award' from Amitabh Bachchan
Ranveer Singh is basking in the success of his recently released film, Padmaavat. Amitabh Bachchan today sent him flowers and a note congratulating him for his stupendous performance in Padmaavat.
Ranveer Singh is basking in the success of his recently released film, Padmaavat. The film has crossed over Rs 100 crore mark in just 4 days. Ranveer received a lot of adulation from his fans’ and industry member’s for his superlative performance in the film.
However, Ranveer was eagerly waiting for superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s reaction to his performance in Padmaavat. We all know that Ranveer is a die-hard fan of Amitabh Bachchan. To his surprise, Big B showered his praise and blessings in a rather sweet way. He sent him flowers and a note congratulating him for his stupendous performance in Padmaavat.
Ranveer shared the picture on his Instagram account and wrote, ‘’Mujhe mera award mil gaya... @amitabhbachchan.’’

Earlier also megastar Amitabh Bachchan had sent Ranveer a letter praising his performance in the historical drama, Bajirao Mastani. Ranveer had shared the news on Instagram and wrote, "Today morning, I received my first award for 'Bajirao Mastani'. A handwritten note from Mr Bachchan. Among young actors like Parineeti Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut it's all become a thing...'Have you got it' (the letter from) (sic).’’
Talking about Padmaavat, Big had earlier tweeted, "How does he do this! Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Padmavati' and the trailer... the gift of extraordinary vision.’’
Meanwhile, when Pinkvilla asked Ranveer what he has to say for receiving all the praises, he said, "Well, needless to say, I was thrilled to see the response. It was a lot of hard work from past one and a half years and there was a point where our film was not getting the release. So, for it to finally release and get the kind of appreciation for my work was amazing. I took a very big risk with this character, committing to a part like this and the kind of response I have received is very fulfilling. I feel like my work amounted to something and I am very happy about that."
