Ranveer Singh recently wrapped up the shoot of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy which is based on the lives of rappers Divine and Naezy. He stars with Alia Bhatt in the film.
He will now shoot for Simmba with Rohit Shetty. The movie also stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. Talking about the film, he had said, ''I am very nervous too because it is not easy to perform in mainstream films and it’s not easy to make one either. It could be called my biggest solo outing. It is my first ‘in and as’ film."
Talking about his first ever collaboration with Shetty, he had said, "I have admired Rohit sir’s work for a very long time now. We also have Karan Johar as the producer in this film. It’s a genre or brand of cinema that I thoroughly love. Of course, socially, I interact with people who are the ‘multiplex audience’, but my heart is ‘massy’ and that’s actually what I get a huge kick out of."
Ayushmann will be next seen in Badhaai Ho. The film also stars the Dangal fame actress, Sanya Malhotra. Recently, during an interview with a leading magazine, when asked if fame affects his personal life, Ayushmann had said, "After the first film, our personal life was affected. I had no time for my family. You begin to feel big, your ego swells. Then I got back on track. It’s great to see both sides in these five years. The highs and the lows. Personally and professionally, it has made me balanced. It gives you a better perspective of life.''
''Honestly, had all my films been successful, my wife would have left me. I would have been a different person. She has been with me through thick and thin. That is why we are together. Of course, you do get attracted to people. But your core needs to be right. The belief that you are with this person for a lifetime and you have to be with the family. That is the only thing, which will last forever,'' he added.
