Meanwhile, on Hichki, Rani had earlier said, "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up."

Produced by Maneesh Sharma and directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, Hichki is slated to release on March 23, 2018.

Recently, the actor got candid about the issue of pay parity in Bollywood and stated to a leading tabloid, "Nowadays, a lot of people who don't know how to act are also talking of pay parity. It's important to hone your skills and become good at what you do, money will follow. Actors make money from endorsements or cutting ribbons. Money can come from anywhere."
