Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit: Actresses who will make a COMEBACK in 2018

Bollywood divas like Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit who were the reigning queens of Bollywood have stayed away from films for a while now. These leading ladies have been enjoying matrimony and motherhood. Kajol, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit have done a couple of films in the past few years, but they will be seen after a long time on the silver screen this year.

However, 2018 is going to be a special year for Bollywood as we will see all of our favorite divas shining on the silver screen.

Here is the list of actresses who will be seen on the silver screen after a long gap!

1. Rani Mukerji:

Rani Mukerji will be seen in Hichki which will release in February this year. Rani will be seen playing the role of a teacher who suffers from Turrets syndrome. The trailer of the film has been appreciated by one and all. About the film, she said, “The beauty of a hiccup is that you can get over it as well. It’s not like that you have a hiccup and you keep hiccuping all your life... There have been times professionally and personally I have been through hiccups.”

2. Kareena Kapoor Khan:

Kareena Kapoor Khan carried off her pregnancy like no one else. She continued working throughout her pregnancy and is already back in shape a year after the birth of son, Taimur Ali Khan. Kareena has been filming Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding. About the film, she had said in an interview, “Rhea has been a huge support and she stood with the film through the thick and thin. She had the money, the script, the time but her heroine was pregnant. She didn't want to go ahead with the movie despite me telling her to drop me out of it and cast some other actress, 10 years younger. But Rhea was adamant. She even got the script reworked and tried to include the pregnancy angle, which was also dropped later. I was so happy to see Rhea's gumption, courage and conviction. At a time when producers deny working with older actresses for reasons best known to them, it is good to see Rhea. She had clearly told me that Veere Di Wedding is about women and she won't make it without me.”

3. Priyanka Chopra:

Priyanka Chopra was last seen in Jai Gangajal in 2016. The film did not fare well at the box-office. Since then, PC has been busy with her Hollywood assignments. She has debuted in Hollywood with Baywatch in which she played the role of Victoria Leeds. She has also finished filming for two other Hollywood projects. Priyanka recently concluded the shoot of season 3 of her hit TV show, Quantico. However, we have been missing her in Bollywood and if rumors are to be believed, Priyanka will announce her next Bollywood venture soon. We hope to see her in a Bollywood film in 2018!

4. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan:

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an epitome of beauty, talent and grace. The actress who took a break after the birth of her daughter, Aaradhya made a comeback in films with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa in 2015. After that, she starred in Sarabjit. However, she has not had a release in 2017. Aishwarya is currently filming for Fanne Khan with Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and fans will be delighted to see her on-screen after 2 years in Fanne Khan. She is in talks for multiple films and may soon announce them. Well, Aishwarya is truly back in action!

5. Madhuri Dixit:

Madhuri Dixit has been missing from the silver screen for over three years now. She last starred in Gulaab Gang which released in 2014. She has been busy with other professional commitments. However, this year she will be reuniting with Anil Kapoor to star in Total Dhamaal. Madhuri will team up with Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh in Total Dhamaal. About the film, she had said, “’I will be working with Anil ji after 17 odd years. I am really looking forward to it. It is a comedy, an entertaining film.”
