Raju Hirani attends the screening of his son’s directorial debut at the 18th ICFFI

Director Raju Hirani attended his son, Vir’s debut screening at the 18th International Children’s Film Festival India. Vir Hirani’s Return Gift is inspired by an incident narrated to him by his grandmother.

Raju revealed that his son did not want him to attend the festival. “Vir did not want me to be here because he is very shy. He wrote his mother’s name on the CFSI name instead of mine as he knew my name would draw a lot of attention. He surprised me, actually. I was away in Rajasthan shooting for a month and he woke me up early one morning and showed me this film on his computer. I am a very proud father.”
