PM Narendra Modi Oath Ceremony: Shahid Kapoor and Karan Johar head to New Delhi for the event
As the BJP party won the 17th Lok Sabha Elections 2019, today, Narendra Modi will be taking an oath as the Prime Minister of India for the second time. For the ceremony, Shahid Kapoor and Karan Johar also left for New Delhi. Take a look.
Recently, the biggest event of any democracy took place in India and it is the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The results declared that BJP had won the elections and hence, Narendra Modi will be swearing in as the Prime Minister of India for the second time. While the Oath ceremony will be taking place today in the evening at 7 PM in New Delhi, many international guests and diplomats are invited. Also, Bollywood celebs and filmmakers have been invited which include, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sidharth Roy Kapur and more.
This morning, Shahid Kapoor and Karan Johar were snapped at the private airport when they were heading to New Delhi for Narendra Modi’s Oath taking ceremony. While Shahid was seen sporting a casual look in a white tee and black track pants with sneakers and a pair of aviators, Karan was seen carrying off an uber-cool all black look with a pair of white sneakers and black sunglasses. The actor and the filmmaker posed for the paparazzi and then headed inside the private airport.
A while back, all the prominent Bollywood stars and filmmakers including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar and more had gone to New Delhi to meet the Prime Minister. Also, Anil Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher and more met up in the past few months with PM Narendra Modi to discuss how Bollywood can help in the betterment of the nation.

The swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi will start at 7 PM and many foreign dignitaries will be present for the biggest event of the nation. In fact, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth, Prime Minister of Bhutan Lotay Tshering, President of Myanmar U Win Myint, President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena, and President of Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov have already arrived in New Delhi for the ceremony. At 4:30 PM, Narendra Modi will meet his new cabinet of ministers and then will head for the ceremony at the President’s house, the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
