PHOTOS: Ranbir Kapoor clicked on the sets of Sanjay Dutt biopic

Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming big release, Sanjay Dutt biopic. The film is being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and is slated to release next year in March. 

The actor transformed himself completely for the film and impressed everyone with his beefed-up look. Today, the actor was clicked on the sets of his upcoming movie. And no doubt, he is looking so starkly similar to Sanjay. He is leaving no stone unturned to make this biopic a success. Going by the pictures, Ranbir resembles Sanjay Dutt’s post-jail term look.

During an interview, Ranbir shared his views about the film and had said, “Sanju Sir has been closely attached to the film. He has come on set and has been amazingly supportive. It used to be surreal for me because I am acting like him. He used to sit in front of the monitor and see some scenes and be so happy. He’s like an overgrown child, who gives love to people…I feel like I was born to play this part. He is the only actor whose picture is on my cupboard and to play him is surreal. Getting a physical look right is easy. To get somebody’s soul right, the human being right- that’s the hard part. I hope I’ve done a good job.''

Ranbir also added, “I’m grateful for this film and am working hard on it. I hope that people understand this man’s life, his soul through my work."

The movie stars Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Vicky Kaushal besides Ranbir Kapoor. 

Also, Ranbir will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra in which he stars with Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.

About Brahmastra, Ranbir had revealed that it is a story of a “boy who will have some form of super-powers. But right now, it’s too early to talk about it.” He has already started training for his role in the film. This will be the first part of a trilogy that the makers have planned.
