Pictures: Mira Kapoor slays in a black outfit at an event in the city

Today, Mira Kapoor was clicked by the shutterbugs at an event in the city. 

She looked gorgeous in a black outfit. Mira styled her look with beautiful earrings and bright shade lipstick. She was all smiles as she got clicked by the paparazzi.

There have been rumours that Mira may be vying for a career in Bollywood. However, the lovely lady recently rubbished these rumours in an interview.  She said, "People turn it into how it's a very bad or a very good profession. Right now, I see it as a time-consuming job that comes with a lot of pressure and I don't want to deal with these pressures. If an opportunity comes I will take a call then, but right now, no."

Mira also revealed that she considers her husband Shahid Kapoor as her best buddy. "I think friendship evolves over time and I have been here for a little less than two years.  So I can say that right now, my closest friend is Shahid. I am very proud to say that because that is why our relationship has such depth. That does not mean that people in the industry are not friendly. They are extremely warm and welcoming. I have never got cold vibes from whoever I have met till now,'' she said.

She also got candid about being judged as a celebrity wife. She said, "The concept of the star wife is outdated. You can either brush it aside or give it importance. I am a wife, yes, and my husband is a star. If you wish to put the two together, you are going to get a star wife. I love him for who he is; I don't care that he is an actor. It's part of the package. I can't say, I love you, but I don't like your profession. Before I got married, it was easy to say 'this one is like that' or 'so and so is that kind of a person'. Now, being on this side of the fence, it's extremely difficult when I am scrutinised."

Mira and Shahid tied the knot in June 2015. They are now the proud parents of an adorable little girl, Misha Kapoor.
