Unfazed by the Padmavati controversy, Deepika has made frequent public appearances and nailed each look that she sported.Today, the actress was clicked at an awards show and was honored with the Global Icon of the Year award.
She looked amazingly beautiful in a white cape saree. Designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, and styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika's makeup was kept simple. She styled her look with slicked-back hair, beautiful earrings, and bright shade lipstick.

During an interview to a magazine, when Deepika was asked about the lowest point in her life, she had said, "A broken relationship and depression. Those were the two very low points of my life."
When the actress was questioned how did she deal with it, Deepika Padukone said, "Well, time and a lot of work on myself helped me overcome it. It came with an amazing support system, my friends, and family. My friends and family keep me grounded. They keep me rooted. They anchor me. Also, today my work is everything. My work is me. I have created it. I am responsible for my success and failure. No one else can take that away from me. That's on what I have focussed all my energies and efforts. It's my baby."
Is she planning to settle down in 2018? "I can't put a year to it. Honestly, I've never been able to do anything that is time bound. I believe relationships have their way of unfolding. As far as my equation with him is concerned, I am sure that will unfold in its own manner. I can't wait to be a homemaker. Because from the time I was a little girl, I've always wanted to be that. I've always wanted to start a family," Deepika had said.
On the work front, after Padmavati, Deepika will be next seen in a film based on a mafia queen. Directed by Honey Trehan, the movie will see Deepika uniting with her Piku co-actor, Irrfan.
