Deepika looked amazingly beautiful in a black jumpsuit as she walked out of the car. The actress was all smiles as she posed for the shutterbugs. Recently, the actress launched the biography of veteran actress Hema Malini in Mumbai. At the event, she revealed that she is just 12th pass and back then, her parents did have an issue with it. It was her sheer hard work that she has made that big in the industry.
On the work front, Deepika is gearing up for Padmavati, which also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sidharth Malhotra also graced the screening with their presence. While Alia looked gorgeous in a floral jumpsuit, Sidharth looked handsome in a casual tee and denim, Sonakshi opted for a black tee and blue denim.
On the professional front, Sidharth Malhotra will be next seen in Ittefaq, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha in a lead role. Alia, on the other hand, is gearing up for Meghna Gulzar's Raazi wherein she is cast opposite Vicky Kaushal.
Karan Johar too arrived at the screening. He looked dapper in a military jacket and black trousers. He was all smiles as he posed for the shutterbugs.
Talking about the plot of the film, Zaira Wasim plays a 14-year-old girl named Insia who desires to be a singer much to the chagrin of her dad. She then decides to make her own YouTube channel in which she posts videos of herself singing while covering her face in a burkha. She is then scouted by Aamir's character who is a music director and is impressed byInsia's musical gift.
Going by the early reviews of Secret Superstar, the film has been appreciated for both the content and acting by the lead cast. Talking about the film, Aamir Khan had earlier said, "I think as creative people we can make more films for children. We make very less films for the kids, also for the teenagers and we should make more films for this age group. And this is one film that is for youngsters, age group between 12 and 18. But it isn't restricted to that particular age group. This is a family film, even small kids will like it and even older people will enjoy it. I think it's a family film and has a much wider scope."
