Salman Khan returned home after spending two days in Jodhpur Jail post his 5-year prison sentence for his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
As soon as he reached his residence in Bandra, the Galaxy Apartments, he met his family. The visibly emotional Salman Khan appeared on the terrace of his apartment and waved at his fans.
Khan was allowed to leave the jail after the prison authorities received the bail documents, a police official said. The actor's long-time bodyguard Shera accompanied him throughout the journey along with Khan’s sisters, Arpita and Alvira.
The 52-year-old actor was sentenced to five years for killing two blackbucks 20 years ago in Kankani village, near Jodhpur in Rajasthan, during the shooting of a multi-starrer, "Hum Saath Saath Hain".
His co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and Sonal Bendre, who were in the SUV that the Dabangg star was driving during their alleged late night hunting outing, were, however, acquitted by the Jodhpur sessions court.
Meanwhile, in a throwback video, Salman is seen talking about the time he spent in a jail. The actor said, "I was blank. I was chilling. The only tension was the bathroom. That was it. [pause] And, the bin, and three, four times I have gone in and out of it. If someone wants to put you in, you go in quietly. When you know you haven’t done it, you go in head high."
"There were like nine or 10 rooms, and each room had 9-10 people in one room. One bathroom. One toilet. So that was...[rolls his eyes] Then the rest of the space, the Central Jail. When you go to the judicial custody, you get your own suite there," added Salman.
