IN PICS: Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter keep their date with Tom Cruise and Mission Impossible

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter had recently starred in the film Dhadak, which released last month. While the film marked Janhvi's debut in the film industry, it was Ishaan's second film, first being Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds. Dhadak was directed by Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame Shashank Khaitan and was produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film was an official Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat, which released in the year 2016, and was directed by Nagraj Manjule.

Janhvi and Ishaan have grown to be best friends and are very fond of each other, to the extent that they regard each other as a part of their families. This bonding was clearly visible in the film as their crackling chemistry on-screen had become the talk of the town. Even behind the cameras, the two seem to be very comfortable and happy in each others company, and even after the film's release, the two have been spotted together on various occasions. Last night, the duo was clicked by the shutterbugs at a cinema hall in the city where they had arrived to watch Tom Cruise's latest film Mission Impossible - Fallout.

Both the actors were dressed in their casual best. Janhvi wore a comfortable black tee and denim shorts, perfect for the city's climate. She had kept her hair lose and looked beautiful even without any makeup on. On the other hand, Ishaan had worn a cool red t-shirt and blue jeans and had paired his outfit with his customised Dhadak jacket, which had 'Madhu' written on its back. Madhu was the name of Ishaan's character in the film. Janhvi even stopped to click pictures with her fans before entering the theatre.
 

Janhvi and Ishaan's Dhadak had received mixed reviews from the audience. Some of them were not happy with the remake and had tweeted the hashtag #SairatRuined, while there were many who had lauded the performances by the newbies. A few of them even went on to say that they saw glimpses of late actress Sridevi in Janhvi Kapoor.

For the uninitiated, Janhvi is the daughter of iconic actress Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor. On the other hand, Ishaan is the brother of famous Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor. Earlier this year, Sridevi's sudden demise had shocked the entire nation. Janhvi did not break down and had shown immense courage and dedication by resuming the film's shoot within just a few days of her mother's demise.
